The Dolomites with their bizarre rock formations were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and thus one of the most beautiful landscapes on earth.The Dolomites are a mountain range located in north-eastern Italy. It is a part of Southern Limestone Alps and extends from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley in the east Two of her massifs bear evocative names, Rosengarten and Latemar. According to legend, the roses from the garden of the damned dwarf king Laurin leave the rock faces red. This rock magic can be experienced in the Dolomites in South Tyrol.
