Another major international conference for New Zealand

Tourism New Zealand's Business Events team has added another conference win to their growing stable of successes, thanks to their combined efforts with the Queenstown Convention Bureau and Bodeker Scientific. In January 2014, between 300 - 400 international delegates will make their way to Queenstown for the General Assembly of Stratospheric Processes And their Role in Climate (SPARC), one of the core projects of the World Climate Research Programme.

Contractors Invited to Bid for Exhibition Centre Liverpool

Moves to develop a world-class exhibition and events complex on Liverpool’s waterfront have taken a significant step forward.
Notices have been published seeking a contractor for the £40m development next to ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, at Kings Dock, with an investor partner also being sought for a planned 200-bed four or five-star hotel.

The notices have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union following agreement being reached with the Homes and Community Agency (HCA) for the transfer of the land at Kings Dock.

It is anticipated that a contractor will be appointed by September, with works starting in autumn 2013 and the exhibition centre due for completion late 2014.
