GCB German Convention Bureau Appoints Sustainability Advisor

Christine Koch has been appointed Sustainability Advisor for the German Convention Bureau (GCB). A long-standing employee of the GCB, Christine has been actively involved with its sustainability initiatives for many years, including the seminar programme for sustainability advisors offered by the GCB in partnership with the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU). As well as proposing that these seminars be established, Christine also developed the content.

JetLite Flight makes an emergency landing

JetLite flight rebounded to Mumbai Airport half an hour after it took off on Tuesday. The flight had to return after an engine failure was suspected. 

JetLite was Bhopal bound flight that had 114 passengers that made a safe landing at Mumbai Airport. But the flight made a late arrival at Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj airport late in the noon.

Air Freight Volumes Show Signs of Life in June

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released June figures showing a 1.2% year-on-year expansion in global air freight demand. Although weak, this is an improvement when compared to the 0.9% year-on-year demand growth recorded in May and the 0.1% growth realized over the first half of the year.
