Swiss International Air Lines has appointed Dieter Vranckx as Head of Sales & Marketing for its home markets of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. He will assume his new duties on 1 September. Vranckx succeeds Markus Binkert, who became Chief Commercial Officer in May but has additionally retained his previous position on an interim basis.Dieter Vranckx, who is 40, can draw on many years of airline industry experience in his new position. His appointment also marks a return to SWISS: he served the company from 2001 to 2010 in various executive capacities, including SWISS General Manager Sales & Marketing for the Asia-Pacific Region and Swiss WorldCargo’s Head of Asia, Middle East & Africa.
