The Venture Cup, the world's longest, toughest and most prestigious powerboat race, will start in the heart of London on the river Thames in 2014. Because the 2014 race will involve new challenges, a Prologue race is underway to test the boats, crews and systems over a shorter course.
You can watch the boats set off for the Venture Cup Prologue from the spectacular setting of Tower Bridge at 9am on 8 June 2013. There is also a free Fan Event Village at Wood Wharf in Canary Wharf, which celebrates all things nautical from 5 to 8 June 2013.
After leaving London, the race will travel along the south coast towards Brighton, before crossing the Channel to Guernsey and then returning to Bournemouth.
