'Oku' in Japanese means 'hidden' or 'inside' - a perfect way to describe our tours. Nothing else about the company has changed - we have the same tours and we have the same people in our team. We will continue our mission of making stunning trips into off-the-beaten-track Japan under the new name”, said Matt Malcomson, Managing Director of Oku Japan.National Geographic Traveler magazine has named Oku Japan's Nakasendo Trail tour as one of its "50 Tours of a Lifetime" for 2013 – the only one in Japan.
