New one-stop-shop for Northern Beaches residents in Australia

Northern Beaches residents will benefit from a new Department of Human Services one-stop-shop, which will offer Centrelink and Medicare services under the one roof from Tuesday 11 June 2013.Minister for Human Services, Senator Jan McLucas said locals would benefit from easier access to services at the one-stop-shop. "Having Medicare and Centrelink services working alongside each other in one building means Northern Beaches residents will have easy access to the services they need without having to travel to more than one location," Senator McLucas said.

"We recognise that people are busy so our government has been working hard to provide access to government services in a way that suits them." All staff who currently provide Medicare services at Warringah Mall on the corner 
of Old Pittwater Road and Condamine Street will relocate and offer the same services at the current Centrelink Service Centre at 660 - 664 Pittwater Road in Brookvale.Duty Senator for Warringah and Mackellar, Bob Carr welcomed the new-look service centre and encouraged residents to take advantage of Medicare's new electronic claiming options to get their rebate without visiting an office.
