1 Million Australians to See Images of Northern Ireland on Popular TV Show

Images of Annalong and Northern Ireland will be seen by about one million TV viewers across Australia later this year, after scenes for a popular television show were filmed here – courtesy of Tourism Ireland and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

A TV crew travelled here last week to shoot scenes for a special episode of a popular travel programme, called The Gurus Explore. Footage was captured at various locations around Northern Ireland for the show – which will include the Mountains of Mourne, the Mourne Food Cycle Trail and a stop off at Glassdrumman Lodge where they met chef and co-owner, Jonathan Hall. The crew also spent a couple of days in Belfast, where they took in a paranormal tour of Crumlin Road Gaol and a visit to Titanic Belfast, before trying their hand at ‘zorbing’ at Jungle NI in Moneymore. The resulting programme will be broadcast to around one million TV viewers later this year on Nine Network Australia and HD TV station GEM.
