The record increase of new airlines in this summer’s schedule, has led Malta International Airport to receive anna.aero’s Euro ANNIE award.Malta Airport is one of the European airports with the biggest net gain in the number of scheduled airlines operating between August 2012 and August 2013.
The new airlines are transavia.com, Monarch Airlines, airBaltic, Wizz Air and Turkish Airlines.
