In addition, CCD Hospitality, managed by Fitzers Catering, took home the Best Banqueting Team award. TCEB is extending its leadership in developing the potential of Asia's MICE industry by developing a new international standard in 'MICE Curriculum'. An original MICE industry text book ("Introduction to MICE industry- MICE 101") has recently been completed, the first of its kind in Asia. Under a cooperation agreement signed with 28 institutes of higher education, the course is to be included in the academic curriculum in order to accelerate the production of MICE graduates in readiness for the liberalisation of the ASEAN Economic Community. TCEB is confident that the initiative will contribute to establishing Thailand as an education hub of ASEAN.

Quality residential developments in Dubai bounced back during Q2 2012 after a stable first quarter, with average rent increases of 6% for apartments and 9% for villas. Sales prices recorded double-digit increases in three developments, with rises of 6-8% elsewhere, according to the latest H1 2012 report from leading UAE property management company, Asteco.
